Open tenders that ask for, or usually need, health and safety accreditation

Construction, facilities and maintenance buyers often ask for an SSIP scheme such as CHAS or SafeContractor, or for Constructionline.

The firms bidding for these will need health and safety accreditation, and may need help with it. Each tender says why it is here and links to its official notice.

How we choose them

  • A tender is here if its notice mentions CHAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline, SMAS Worksafe, SSIP or Acclaim, from any buyer.
  • Or if it is a council or housing association construction, maintenance, facilities, cleaning or grounds tender (by its CPV code). These buyers usually ask for an SSIP scheme in the tender documents, so they are listed after the tenders that name one.
  • We read only the notice, not the tender documents, so check each tender's documents for exactly what it asks for.

So treat this as a list worth checking, not a ruling: open the notice and its documents to see exactly what the buyer asks for. Spotted one that should not be here? Tell us at hello@tender-radar.co.uk.

This list on your website, or by email

If your firm is listed in our directory for health and safety accreditation, you can show this list on your own website, free. It sits in a frame served from our site, so it stays up to date by itself and cannot affect the rest of your page, with a line under it saying it comes from Tender Radar. Ask us for your code.

Listed firms can also have it emailed once a week, on Mondays: the link to sign up is in the email we send when your listing goes live. Not listed yet? See the directory; listing is free.
