Open tenders that need Cyber Essentials

Central government and NHS buyers must ask for Cyber Essentials, or equivalent controls, on contracts that handle personal information or government data (PPN 014), and many other buyers ask for it too.

The firms bidding for these will need Cyber Essentials, and may need help with it. Each tender says why it is here and links to its official notice.

How we choose them

  • A tender is here if its notice mentions Cyber Essentials, from any buyer.
  • Or if the buyer is UK central government or the NHS and the work is IT, software, telecoms, call centres or payroll by its CPV code, or the notice mentions personal data or IT systems.
  • Other central government tenders come last: most of its contracts handle some government data, but not all.
  • We tell the buyer type from its name and read only the notice, not the tender documents, where the requirement is usually written.

So treat this as a list worth checking, not a ruling: open the notice and its documents to see exactly what the buyer asks for. Spotted one that should not be here? Tell us at hello@tender-radar.co.uk.

This list on your website, or by email

If your firm is listed in our directory for cyber essentials, you can show this list on your own website, free. It sits in a frame served from our site, so it stays up to date by itself and cannot affect the rest of your page, with a line under it saying it comes from Tender Radar. Ask us for your code.

Listed firms can also have it emailed once a week, on Mondays: the link to sign up is in the email we send when your listing goes live. Not listed yet? See the directory; listing is free.
