Open tenders that ask for security screening or clearance

Work with government assets needs BPSS checks, security and facilities contracts often ask for BS 7858 screening, and some work needs SC or DV clearance, which the buyer sponsors once the work needs it.

The firms bidding for these will need security screening or clearance, and may need help with it. Each tender says why it is here and links to its official notice.

How we choose them

  • A tender is here if its notice mentions BPSS, BS 7858, security clearance, SC or DV clearance, a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC), NPPV police vetting or security vetted staff, from any buyer, and each shows which.
  • National security clearance cannot be bought: the buyer sponsors it and UK Security Vetting carries it out. What a bidder can do is screen its staff and prepare, which is what the specialists in our directory help with.
  • We read only the notice, not the tender documents, where vetting is usually set out, so many tenders that need it are not here.

So treat this as a list worth checking, not a ruling: open the notice and its documents to see exactly what the buyer asks for. Spotted one that should not be here? Tell us at hello@tender-radar.co.uk.

This list on your website, or by email

If your firm is listed in our directory for security screening and vetting, you can show this list on your own website, free. It sits in a frame served from our site, so it stays up to date by itself and cannot affect the rest of your page, with a line under it saying it comes from Tender Radar. Ask us for your code.

Listed firms can also have it emailed once a week, on Mondays: the link to sign up is in the email we send when your listing goes live. Not listed yet? See the directory; listing is free.
