Terms of service

Tender Radar is provided by Professor AI Holdings Ltd (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Tender Radar sends a scored digest of UK public sector procurement opportunities, built from a profile you provide. Digests run each weekday morning, and you can instead choose a weekly summary. The service also shows contracts approaching their end date, and includes published award history for public sector buyers and their suppliers.

Depending on your profile it can also cover new company formations from Companies House, UK Research and Innovation funding calls, and notices from the EU and United States federal systems. We may add, change or withdraw individual sources: procurement portals are operated by third parties and are outside our control.

You can create an account and start a 30 day free trial without entering card details. If you subscribe during your free trial, the subscription begins with a 30 day trial during which your payment method is not charged. If your free trial has already ended, or you are subscribing again after cancelling, you are charged when you subscribe. Either way it then renews automatically at the price you selected, monthly or annually, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time. Cancel during a trial and you are not charged. Cancel afterwards and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, with no further charge.

Additional department radars are charged from the date you add them and do not carry their own trial.

If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from purchase to cancel. To exercise that right, email admin@theprofessor.info.

You may use Tender Radar for your own internal business purposes. You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense the service or its output, attempt to circumvent technical controls, or use the service to infringe anyone else's rights.

Bringing your matches, renewals and other results into your own systems through the Tender Radar API or the AI connector, for example your CRM, a spreadsheet or an AI assistant you use, counts as internal use. Passing them on to other organisations, or building a product or service for others from them, does not. API keys are for your organisation only: keep them secret, as anyone holding one can read your matches. Use of the API is subject to the fair-use limits published at tender-radar.co.uk/developers, and we may suspend a key that is shared, exceeds those limits or puts the service at risk, telling you why.

This does not restrict your use of the underlying public data. The UK procurement records behind the service are published under the Open Government Licence and you are free to obtain and use them from the source, independently of these terms.

The Tender Radar platform, its scoring approach and its design belong to Professor AI Holdings Ltd. The procurement data itself is public information published by the issuing bodies, used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 for the UK sources and under their own terms for the EU and United States sources. The organisational profile you create remains yours.

Tender Radar is an alerting and research tool, not legal, procurement or bidding advice, and nothing in a digest is a recommendation to bid.

We do not guarantee that every relevant opportunity is captured. We depend on third-party portals publishing accurately and on time, and notices are sometimes published late, miscategorised or not at all. Scores are an automated opinion about relevance and will sometimes be wrong in both directions. Contract values and end dates are reproduced as published, and framework values in particular are ceilings rather than committed spend. Decisions about which opportunities to pursue remain yours, and you should check the original notice before acting.

Supplier badges (SME, voluntary sector, charity and community interest company) show what a supplier declared on its published award notices, what the charity registers record, or what a Tender Radar customer has certified about itself, and the site says which. They can be out of date or wrong, and they are not a check of eligibility for any procurement.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We aim to send digests every working day but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, source outages and faults happen. Where a fault stops digests for a sustained period, contact us and we will credit the affected time.

We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we reasonably think your use puts the service or other users at risk. We will give reasonable notice where we can, and refund any period you have paid for but cannot use, unless the termination is for a serious breach by you.

Buyer accounts are free, for people who work at an organisation that publishes procurement notices, such as a council, NHS body, government department, university or housing association.

Each account is linked to one organisation. We link it when your work email address uses a domain that the organisation’s own published notices use, or when we have checked the link ourselves. By opening an account you confirm that you work for that organisation. Tell us if you leave, and we may close an account we no longer believe belongs to someone there.

Some suppliers give an address for buyers’ market engagement. You may use it only for your organisation’s procurement, for example market engagement, pre-market questions or inviting a supplier to tender. You must not add it to a marketing list, pass it to anyone outside your organisation, sell it, or use it for anything unrelated to your organisation buying goods, works or services.

A buyer account is for you alone: please do not share your sign-in. Section 4, “Acceptable use”, applies to buyer accounts as it does to everyone else.

A customer’s admins can certify their organisation’s size and type (small or medium-sized enterprise, voluntary, community or social enterprise, community interest company, registered charity) and give an address for buyers to contact. You can fill this in during a free trial. It appears on your supplier record only while your organisation has a paid subscription, or where we offer it at our discretion.

By certifying, you confirm that you may act for the organisation and that what you certify is accurate, and you agree to update it if it changes. For SME we use: fewer than 250 staff, and an annual turnover of no more than £44 million or a balance sheet total of no more than £38 million.

We show what you certify as certified by your organisation, with the date. We check a charity number against the England and Wales and Scottish charity registers before showing it, and we show a contact address only after someone has confirmed it from that inbox.

The contact address is shown only to people signed in with a buyer account. You are responsible for having the right to publish it. A team address, such as your bids inbox, usually works best.

We may hide or remove information we believe is inaccurate. It never changes the procurement data: contract records, figures and the order suppliers appear in come from published notices and are the same for every supplier. We do not endorse any supplier, and showing this information is not a recommendation to any buyer.

Subscribers can choose to be listed on tender-radar.co.uk (a “listing”): the organisation’s name, logo, a short description and a link to its website, shown on our members page, beside the categories of work it does, and on its own supplier or buyer record. A listing is optional, comes with a subscription at no extra cost, and can be withdrawn at any time from Your listing in your account. We may also offer a listing without a subscription, at our discretion.

By turning a listing on, you confirm that you may act for the organisation and use its name and logo, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show them, with the text you provide, on the site while the listing is on. You are responsible for the listing being accurate and lawful.

We check listings before they first appear, and again after changes to anything other than the one-line description, which goes live straight away and must not contain web or email addresses. We may decline, shorten or remove a listing, for example if it is misleading, infringes someone else’s rights, or the subscription ends.

A listing never changes the procurement data on the site. Contract records, the order in which suppliers appear and the figures shown come from published notices and are the same for members and non-members. Links to listed websites are marked as sponsored. We do not endorse listed organisations, and a listing is not a recommendation to any buyer. We count visits from a listing to the listed website and show the totals to the organisation listed.

We will email you at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change. If you would rather not, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
