These are not portals and you do not find work on them, but they gate the work. A buyer will often require a current accreditation before you can bid at all, particularly in construction, facilities and utilities. Two things catch people out. They carry annual fees and annual renewals, and a lapse is not a warning, it is a failed bid: the check happens during evaluation, and an expired certificate at that moment cannot be fixed. Several schemes recognise each other, so holding one may satisfy a requirement for another, which is worth checking before paying twice.
