What DOS7 is

Digital Outcomes and Specialists 7 (DOS7, reference RM1043.9) is the government's main agreement for buying agile digital, data and technology work. It went live on 30 January 2026 and replaced both Digital Outcomes 6 and Digital Specialists and Programmes.

It has four lots: digital outcomes (whole projects), digital capability and delivery partners (longer programmes), digital specialists (individual roles), and user research studios and participants. It is run by the Government Commercial Agency, which took over from Crown Commercial Service on 1 April 2026.

How to get on it

DOS7 is an open framework under the Procurement Act 2023. Instead of being closed for its whole life, it reopens to new suppliers at intervals (GCA says every 18 months), and suppliers already on it carry over. The first window closed in June 2025.

GCA says the next opening, RM1043.9.2, is due in summer 2027, with exact dates confirmed in late 2026, and you can register interest on its page now. You will need to be registered on the Central Digital Platform, and the notice will appear on Find a Tender.

Finding and winning work

Once you are on the framework, buyers publish their requirements on GCA's Contract Award Service and every contract is awarded by further competition among the suppliers on the relevant lot. Current DOS7 opportunities can be browsed on the Contract Award Service without signing in, which is a good way to see what buyers ask for before you apply.

The old Digital Marketplace opportunities pages no longer list work. That site is now used only to apply to join frameworks such as DOS7 and G-Cloud.

What it costs and who buys

If you win work, you pay GCA a management charge of 1%, excluding VAT, on everything you invoice under DOS7 contracts. Buyers include central government, local authorities, health bodies, education, charities, blue light services and the devolved administrations.

Getting registered

DOS7 is an open framework that reopens to new suppliers at intervals. The next opening (RM1043.9.2) is due in summer 2027; register interest on GCA's page and on the Central Digital Platform.

Watch out for

DOS opportunities moved from Digital Marketplace to GCA's Contract Award Service, and the operator changed from Crown Commercial Service to GCA in April 2026. Old guides and bookmarks point to the wrong places.

When can I apply to join DOS7?
